How is Indian Head massage carried out?
Indian Head Massage massage is carried out as you sit on a low-back chair, it is suitable for all ages & can be performed on a client in a wheelchair.
It can be done over ones clothes but some clients find it more effective if they remove their outer top and, of course, your therapist will always be able to offer you a towel for your modesty.
The use of oils is optional and will be discussed at consultation. If you choose to have your treatment with oil this will also be used in your hair; (unless you prefer not to) so it might be best not to wash your hair just before your treatment. However, if you prefer oil can be used everywhere else and not in the hair, the choice is yours and will be discussed with you fully.
After your treatment
Following your Indian Head Massage treatment you should feel relaxed and rejuvenated but you may also feel sleepy – this is natural so you should simply ‘listen’ to your body & relax. Drink plenty of water to flush out the toxins and heed the aftercare advice your therapist gives you.
Is Indian Head Massage Suitable for Everyone?
There are certain illnesses or conditions, such as epilepsy or a neck injury, when Indian Head Massage may contra-indicate, not be appropriate or your doctor’s consent may be required. There are also some conditions, such as some skin complaints, when the massage may simply have to be modified. This will be discussed at consultation but if you have any concerns, please contact us for a confidential chat.
Indian Head Massage with or without oils is £30 per session (45/60 mins)
Payment of any of these therapies can be paid in cash or cheque on the day of your treatment, or by bank transfer if you prefer to prepay via your bank.
